Repair Terms & Warranty
These are the general repair principles used by Jon's Tech Repair Centre. Your individual repair will be confirmed with you before work begins.
1. Diagnosis & quotation
Repair estimates are based on the information provided and may change after physical inspection or diagnosis. We will confirm the final price before carrying out chargeable work.
2. Device condition
Please disclose known faults, liquid damage, previous repairs, missing parts and security/account locks. Additional faults discovered during diagnosis may require a revised quotation.
3. Data & backups
Customers should back up important data before repair. While reasonable care is taken, repair work can carry a risk of data loss or further failure, particularly where a device already has damage or faults.
4. Passcodes & account locks
Where required for testing, you may need to provide an appropriate device passcode or remove account/security locks. We will not request passwords for unrelated accounts.
5. Testing
Devices are tested as far as reasonably possible after repair. Some faults cannot be fully tested without customer-specific accounts, SIM cards, accessories or services.
6. 1-year repair warranty
Qualifying repairs include a 1-year repair warranty against faults relating to the repair work or parts supplied. The warranty does not automatically cover new damage, accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, further unauthorised repair or unrelated faults.
7. Parts
Parts may be new, refurbished or otherwise suitable replacement parts depending on the repair and availability. We will explain material differences where they affect the repair.
8. Customer property
Customers should remove SIM cards, memory cards and personal accessories unless they are required for the repair or testing.
9. Uncollected devices
If a repaired device is not collected within a reasonable period after notification, we may contact you to arrange collection or delivery. Any applicable storage or disposal process will be communicated before action is taken.
10. Your statutory rights
Nothing on this page is intended to remove or limit rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.
If you have any questions about a specific repair, please contact us before approving the work.
